The inductees of the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame are selected by the criteria of the Hall of Fame Constitution and voted on by the membership.

Each year up to a maximum of 3 inductees can be selected from the member nominations received and on file at the Hall. The list of nominees can include “Athletes” or “Builders”. Athletes who win a medal in an Olympic or World Event can also be automatically inducted.

Each October our annual Induction Ceremony is held. The BSHoF will have the inductee’s portrait painted, and will then be displayed at the Allandale Recreation Centre. A photograph of the inductee’s portrait and a Certificate of Recognition is presented to the inductee as a memento from the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame.
