Kristy Alford
Track & Field Athlete
Kristy is a very accomplished and decorated Special Olympic track and field athlete. In 2017, she won five Gold and one Silver in track and field at the Provincial Championships. The following year, at the 2018 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg, Kristy won Gold in the 100m and 200m track events. Later that year, she excelled at the National Summer Games in Nova Scotia, winning three Gold medals in track and field, including team relay and mini javelin.
Kristy’s desire to reach the next level led her to the Special Olympics in Abu Dhabi in 2019, winning Silver in 100m track and Gold in javelin.
