Join the Hall of Fame to help celebrate this year’s group of award winners
Barrie, ON: The Barrie Sports Hall of Fame (BSHoF) is excited to announce that their latest group of inductees and award winners will be introduced at their 2024 Induction Ceremony Kick-Off party. Join members from the BSHoF, as well as family and friends of the inductees, at the Queens Hotel (94 Dunlop Street East) on Thursday, September 5, 2024, from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Be the first to find out which Barrie sporting legends have earned a spot in the Class of 2024.
The Kick-Off party sets the stage that leads up to the annual Barrie Sports Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which takes place on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at Allandale Recreation Centre. The general public is welcome to attend both the Kick-off party and the Induction Ceremony – no ticket required.
The BSHoF is also actively looking for new partners and sponsors, as well as volunteers, to help support the organization at both of these great events. And if you are part of a local sports organization, the BSHoF wants to connect with you to create a relationship to potentially recognize your members as future inductees and award winners.
To get involved, please email info@barriesportshalloffame.ca for more details. Stay up-to-date with everything at the BSHoF by following them on Facebook and Instagram (@barriesportshalloffame) or check their website (barriesportshalloffame.ca).
About the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame:
Since 1985, the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame has been dedicated to recognizing and honouring outstanding athletes, coaches, and sports builders from our local community. Each October, the Hall of Fame inducts individuals who have made significant contributions to sports in Barrie, achieving excellence in their respective fields locally, nationally, and internationally. The City of Barrie has graciously allowed the Allandale Recreation Centre to become the home of the Barrie Sports Hall of Fame. It is here that portraits celebrating the great men and women from Barrie’s sporting history, both past and present, have been displayed for over twenty years.
